Welcome aboard Starbase Icarus!

The Great Depression, like most other periods of severe unemployment, was produced by government mismanagement rather than by any inherent instability of the private economy.

50 years have passed since the Khitomer Accords were signed. The Federation's war economy has been dismantled, forcing millions of workers into unemployment, plunging the galactic economy into a crash, placing hundreds of thousands into poverty, and a fight to survive.

The United Federation of Planets is no longer a utopia. It's a fight for survival. Her enemy smells her weakness, they plan to attack soon. The members are suffering, talking about separating from the union. Pollsters predict the United Federation of Planets will collapse.

The Newest First Contact, The Cardassian Union, has sent her warships into Federation space, scouting for easy prey to take. With the cutbacks to Starfleet, the military struggles to respond it their incursions into Federation Space... Until someone in the Admiralty snapped.

Starbase Icarus, a spacedock along the borders of the Cardassian Union, and her puppet, the Bajoran Occupational Government. Her Commanding Officer has been replaced by a more experienced pair of hands, Capt Liam Pope who has been tasked with striking a ceasefire and hopefully an end to the Federation-Cardissan Cold War.

Mission: 1. Trouble Brewing
Posted on Sun Jun 22, 2025 @ 1:46pm by Jordan Sinclair

It was stupid o'clock, early hours of the morning, maybe 2 AM on a Saturday. The start of the weekend, where everyone was drinking their problems away and getting into fights. But the drunks of the night had scuttled home. What replaced? Not vampires or waresolves but the exthused bar stuff dragged by their collars of their shit by managment who couldn't care less about them more than starting a hiring processes.

One who wasn't being dragged into the ER by their boss was the runaway stripper Jordan Sinclair, he was clutching his wrist and wearing an oversized fuzzy grey…

Mission: 1. Trouble Brewing

ON

"Lieutenant, we've got a Talarian freighter on the perimeter; no documentation lodged and not cleared for docking. They're coming in hot on a collision course!"

"They're not answering hails."

"They're inside the shield perimeter. Our defences will be ineffective if they impact."

"Preparing tractor beams."

"Phasers ready."

Matt Hartley looked from the orbital control display to the viewscreen as voices came in surround sound. A yellow-hulled cargoship jettisoned murky iridescent trails of plasma as it sped toward the station. The Talarians had become notorious for kamikaze runs against their enemies, even the Federation, and this situation had left the…

Mission: 1. Trouble Brewing
Posted on Thu May 29, 2025 @ 3:04pm by Doctor Aurelia Sol

‘Code Blue to ED 1. I repeat Code Blue to ED 1. Rapid Response to-’

Aurelia didn’t bother to listen to the rest. She was on her feet in seconds, leaving a blustering Trill to gape after her. He had an impressive toothache, something that she could revisit after initial assessment of their newest coding patient.

Before she could make it in the room, a gaggle of nurses stood at the ready. The scene was chaos, machines screaming that vitals were plummeting and action needed to happen fast. It took one look for the doctor to know what had happened:…

Mission: 1. Trouble Brewing
Posted on Wed May 28, 2025 @ 8:37am by Lieutenant Barnaby Jefferson-Dal & Commander Jack Aeyers

Barnaby Jefferson-Dal was a strange man, it took him a while to accept his difference. All those years on Earth, in Clacton-On-Sea, working at the pier fixing arcade mechanics as an apprentice made him who he was, an engineer, and the Trill program opened his eyes, allowing him to embrace his weirdness. It took him a while to go from depression, a world of grey to a world of joy where everything was bright and fuzzy.

He was now a Lt-Captain in Starfleet, his friends called him Barbie, a shortened version of Barnaby, and he was the 12th host to…

|Toak Valley, Kendra Province, Bajor
|December, 2329

Filling the hands of another downfaced Bajoran with rations and a scratchy grey blanket, Aeyers watched across the town square. As he and a team of junior officers from the Cairo handed out supplies to the desperate, needy, the sick and wounded, another officer, one he’d known since his first day on the USS Reliant, stood across the square. Aeyers watched him disapprovingly. The Lieutenant, affectionately referred to as ‘Johnny’, was the chosen one. He stood in a ray of golden sunlight with a twinkle in his eye and a placid smile, charming…
