Service History
Construction |

Construction began in 2265 in the New Berlin system along the UFP-Klingon border. It was completed in 2273 and commissioned SB-118, New Berlin |
Service |
|
SB 118, New Berlin operated between 2273 and 2293 along the Klingon Border.
Under the command of Captains Bree Van De Kamp of United Earth (2273 to 2281), Su'val of Vulcan (2281 - 2293), SB 118 served as a signal intelligence outpost along the Klingon Empire border while serving as a citadel for trade for the sector. The outpost lacked Starship support and had issues with piracy throughout its operational history. When the Khitomer Accords were signed, SB 118 was closed. Purchase talks were held to sell the starbase, but after a deal with Xale Corp fell through, the Station was shut down and abandoned.
SB 118 was moved to the Icarus Star system in 2339 to work as a defence outpost along the Cardissan border while collecting signal intelligence and a potential port for Starfleet fleets if a war were to break out. After it was brought back online and updated, SB 118 was recommissioned as Icarus. Command was given to Captain Helena Tel, who charted the system. |
